New worksheets for elementary school

1. Math (1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade)

Engage students in a math mystery with Valentine-themed arithmetic puzzles!

First and second graders will love using addition and subtraction to find the missing numbers in the shape of teddy bears, chocolates, and balloons. Since there are two versions (within ten and within twenty), they’ll be able to level up as they go.

For third graders ready to move on to multiplication, we have a set of three multiplication fact practice worksheets—these are adorned with little hearts!

2. Writing (4th and 5th grade)

Spark imagination with Valentine’s Day story starters!

These creative writing prompts revolve around themes of love, friendship, and mystery, and they are open-ended so students can fill in what happens next. Inspire your fourth and fifth-grade learners to flex their ELA skills in order to build a strong plot and bring their fictional story to life.

3. Coloring (PreK)

Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a splash of pink and red. These coloring worksheets feature adorable designs, and at the same time, they help the littlest learners get a head-start on counting!

Ask preschoolers to point out and color in the hearts that match the number at the top of the sheet, make a bright Valentine-themed illustration. For a sweet treat, they can place candy hearts on the matching numbers and eat them when they’re done!

4. Classroom fun (PreK, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade)

Add a touch of Valentine’s Day fun to your home or classroom with these interactive activities!

First, organize a logic puzzle competition, and use clues to match each person to their gift, including a box of chocolates, a stamp set, and a teddy bear.

Along the same theme, have students practice graphing Valentines using a worksheet filled with beautiful visuals and interesting multi-part problems.

Finally, celebrate what the holiday is all about! These Education.com-themed Valentines feature your most beloved Brainzy characters, from Roly to Floyd. Parents can print them out and send their kids off to school, or teachers can use them as an in-class gifting activity.

New worksheets for middle school

1. Math (7th grade)

Middle school students can enhance their math skills with these themed math worksheets that offer a bit of challenge along with the festivities.

Students will need to use their logic, number sense, and understanding of integers to determine the value that each symbol represents. Featuring imagery that is visually appealing and appropriate for older grades (not too cutesy!), these worksheets make math engaging and relevant to the season.

2. Spelling (6th, 7th, and 8th grade)

These words have lots of typos!

Challenge students with word searches featuring 24 commonly misspelled words, all of which have some relation to Valentine’s Day. Students are first asked to highlight the misspelled words; then, they find the correct spellings within the word search. Talk about a doozy!

3. Figurative language (6th, 7th, and 8th grade)

Take your Valentine’s Day language arts lesson to the next level by incorporating figurative language.

This set of three worksheets helps middle schoolers practice identifying similes, metaphors, and hyperboles within a maze of other types of figurative language techniques. They’ll hone their understanding of core concepts and reveal a mystery riddle at the bottom of the page!

4. Writing (6th, 7th, and 8th grade)
